Roles and Responsibilities:
You will lead a team of talented and highly motivated SDEs, working with Research, PM, and Test teams to design, develop, and deliver quality features. You will also act as bridge between our product team and researchers in Research groups around the world. And meanwhile, you should manage a great team with members those who are great talents in China market.
You must have a passion for taking on the toughest technical challenges, solving hard problems together with your team. Understand the Search products from end to end, Identify areas for major improvements to search products and develop the algorithms to make those improvements real. Measure, interpret, and learn from the results of ongoing testing to make the product even better.
Qualifications:
The Search Technology Center Asia has multiple openings for talented professionals in software development, testing, and program management disciplines. An ideal candidate must feel comfortable operating within a fast moving research and development team. You should possess a strong technical background and a good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving, design, programming, and testing skills. and a minimum of 8 years of experiences in delivering software solutions. You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to collaborate and mentor team members. A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important. Knowledge and experiences in machine learning, information retrieval, data mining, networking, and distributed systems are a plus. Chinese language skills are a strong plus. These positions are located in Beijing, China.
You should have 8+ years of strong expertise in search or similar areas; 4+ years of work experience leading a team; an advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related field; and great intuition and ability to “make sense of the numbers.”
You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to mentor team members. A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important. And demonstrated management skills and the better the ability to build up a fast growing team are required.
Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas is strong plus: C/C++ coding, Asia Language Internet Search, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, strong understanding of the search ecosystem and marketplace along with technology, experience writing code in production systems at large scale.
