Asia Pacific Marketing Director
The ASIA PACIFIC Marketing Director will be responsible for all in-bound and out-bound marketing activities in the ASIA PACIFIC region. Marketing activities in Asia will include applications and product marketing, market segmentation and targeting, public relations and marketing communications. The key requirement of the role is to build a Marketing function from scratch and to quickly add value in terms of supporting the Sales organisation. This position will also be responsible for the entire Marketing function in support of achieving the strategic and financial objectives of the business. Close coordination with corporate marketing team will be required to ensure success of the program.
Duties:
Market Development
Develop and implement a marketing plan for the ASIA PACIFIC region
Deliver presentations on Company’s portfolio and network vision at conferences across the region
Maintain relationships with industry analysts in the region with a goal to influence their position on Company’s capabilities Public Relations
Develop and implement the public relations plan for ASIA PACIFIC
Supervise all of the Marketing Communication/PR activities in ASIA PACIFIC ensuring that messages/content are consistent with Company’s corporate messages
Maintain relationships with each of the PR agencies working for Company in ASIA PACIFIC
Plan and execute press releases, articles for the trade press, media interviews and media tours in the region Marketing Communications
Plan and execute Company’s presence at Trade Shows in Asia-Pacific, consistent with Company’s business objectives and corporate marketing budget.
Develop and implement a plan to accelerate demand for Company products in the region. The plan should include customer seminars, direct mail campaign and possibly targeted advertising.
Drive on-line marketing activities in Asia. Applications/Product Marketing
Engage with customers to understand drivers of demand for Company products
Customize Company’s collateral materials to the Japanese and other Asian markets
Provide feedback to Business Units PLMs on feature needs of the Asian market
Skills:
Fluent Japanese Computer literate
Strong organizational skills
Strong management and negotiation skills
Creative out-of-the-box thinker desired
Ability to take conceptual trade show and event plans to final execution
Strong writing and editing skills
Experience with writing, developing and designing collateral (brochures, datasheets, videos, etc…)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications desirable
7-10 years marketing experience with experience in marketing communication and media relations activities
Proven track record of writing and speaking
Proven track record of implementing a company marketing communication and media plan
